CLC Closed for 6 months

Sorry to inform everyone that Conley's Little Critter's has shut down for the next 6 months. We have recently found out that our youngest daughter (who just turned 1 year old) has brain cancer. She had a small tumor removed just before her birthday and we started chemo just after her birthday in mid May. There was very little option in the matter that I would have to shut down my business to take care of Aly down in Denver. I have given families referrals for other caregivers for the time that we will be closed. Hopefully if all goes well for Aly then we will be back at home at the end of 6 months and will start off the child care again in December. If you would like to follow Aly's story about treatment and just stay in touch with our family her web site is caringbridge.org/visit/AlyzaConley. Please pray for Alyza and our family during this difficult time. Thank you for your support and interest in CLC.

April and May

April went so fast and we had so much. We learned a lot about gardening, baby animals, and we even went to a farm.

May has lots of celebrations with Cinco de Mayo, Mother's day, and tons of birthdays. We've also been busy with hospital visits for Aly. At her regular MRI check up we learned that she has a brain tumor. She will be having brain surgery to get it removed the 11th of May a week before her 1st birthday. As you can imagine this is something unexpected. We will be open on the days before her surgery. However, no children will be allowed on the home with any signs of sicknesses (ex. runny noise). As for care after that we will set up a plan with indiviual families. We thank all our families for your support and prayers. On another note we will have a part time opening starting next month. Depending on how well our daughter does after the surgery we will be slower on scheduling tours.

March into Spring

March is coming in like a Lion and hopefully will head out like a Lamb. With weather changing drastically daily I ask that everyone bring extra warm cloths just in case. We are celebrating Dr. Seuss Week and having fun reading and rhyming.
We have a full time opening for one more little critter 2yrs or older and one part time opening 2yrs or older. We would love to have another friend come join our preschool fun M-F 8a-6pm. Sorry but we are not accepting children under the age of 2yrs until June 2013, however we are starting a waiting list which is free to get on and will keep you up to date on openings. We also can pass on referral's if you are looking for infant care.
Don't forget to spring your clocks forward!
Have a Blessed spring start!

Happy Valentine's Day

Welcome to our new family's. We are excited that the days are getting a little longer as it is getting closer to spring and excited to get some new Little Critter's.
For anyone who is looking for child care we still have openings. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays there are openings for a full or half day toddler or preschooler over 22 months old.
Upcoming this month we will be having a Librarian come to the house Wednesday the 15th to do a personal story time just for us. We are very thrilled to have her.
Also later this month we'll be going to the ice skating ring at EPIC. Date still to be determined.
Happy Valentines to everyone!

January Update

I wanted to let everyone know of my past experience in child care. I worked as an assistant teacher at a well known preschool here in Fort Collins for the past 3 years and only left to open my own business and raise my own two girls at home. Before that I volunteered at a BOCES preschool under the direction of an early childhood specialist that specialized in special ed. I now have my child care license and have 1 opening for a child under 2 and 3 openings for children over the age of 2 years. I am using the Kid Care Nutrition program to ensure that all meals and snacks are healthy, homemade, and to help keep my prices low and affordable. I am a member of FCPIC where I stay current on child care news and training's. I am excited about teaching children so that they will be ready for kindergarten with a Godly mindset. I also have a special heart for infants, with great patients and lots experience with a varieties of personalities. I love to teach baby's sign language which helps them form spoken vocabulary at an earlier age. Even the littlest ones get involved in the preschool learning between naps and bottles.
